Within the 3500 studio curated by Tom Diehl, we worked to design assigned programs along a high-line-esque energy thread in Houston. The proposed gallery space along the Houston energy thread intends to bridge day and night and extend opportunities for the Houston community to interact with art and artists. The program is family-focused during the day and transitions to a space that connects to Houston's nightlife. With punctures and trellises constructed of long-spanning steel extending beyond the energy thread to bridge the highway with the rest of the site, shade and community experiences such as the gallery, concert venues, and food trucks will create a destination redefining the idea of energy in Houston.
